My Review of BRTC Blemish Recover Balm

Yes, I take care of my outside just as much as my inside. And you should too.

Beauty is not just in the eye of the beholder, it can also be bought - in bottle form - and applied on the skin.

Why force people to say you're pretty when you can actually look pretty - for real.

This post is one of a series about BTRC.

If you like KPOP and you're wondering why idols' skin look so flawlessly white and smooth - it might be because:

a)  they're Koreans

b) they have a regular Kimchi diet

c) they use BB creams

d) all of the above

My answer is D but having personally tried a type of BB cream, I can personally attest that I don't need to eat Kimchi or be a Korean to have good skin.

Specifically, I tried BTRC Blemish Recover Balm.

It was my first time to apply BB cream on my skin. The following are my thoughts on it:

Texture-wise

When BTRC advertises their product as a balm, they are not joking.

This Blemish Recover Balm indeed feels like a balm on the skin. It also subtly smells like one - similar to a very very very mild Chinese ointment. Similar to a balm, it is a bit thick that a drop goes a long way.

Once you spread it on the skin - do so evenly - it thins itself out and seems to be absorbed quickly.

BRTC Blemish Recover Balm on my skin

I applied BRTC Blemish Recover Balm on my face making sure that the area where a red mark/small red soon-to-be-a-pimple bump/blemish is aptly covered.

Straight from the bottle, the balm's color is a mildly dark range of beige. But once it's on my skin, it looks ashen brown - a color that doesn't jell with my skin tone.

Remarkably, the blemish I had on my skin - one potential pimple breakout - did minimize when applied with BTRC Blemish Recover Balm. After a few days, it disappeared.

Essentially, the balm is perfect in removing and minimizing signs of blemishes. However, make sure that your skin type is a match to the color of the balm.

I believe BRTC Blemish Recover Balm is ideal for those with oily skin and those who are prone to - and already have - breakouts.

And BTRC's store page agrees:

Applicable to: Oily and troubled skin, skin that requires soothing and calming

Recommended Skin: Skin that requires the effect of natural skin cover up and protection Skin that requires quick and easy makeup Skin that is prone to acne, psoriasis, eczema or other dermatological problems.

Main ingredients: Tea Tree Oil, Lavender, Aloe Vera Extract, Ginger, Grapefruit See, Chamomile, and many more botanical ingredients.

Colour/Tone: Not sure about your shade? The BRTC Blemish Recover Balm (BB Cream) is suitable for most skin tones. The unique feature of BB Creams is that all you need is a very small amount and you rub it into the skin until it seeps in, matching your colour providing a radiant natural glow.  The colour of the cream in the tube is natural beige but the amount of coverage depends on how many layers you apply.  It is suitable for almost all skin tones!

Contrary to this statement though, BRTC Blemish Recover Balm might be suitable for most skin tones, but not on mine.

Still, I'd use it to cover up about-to-breakout pimples and blemishes. I have never seen a product minimize if not remove the possibility of a breakout as fast as BRTC Blemish Recover Balm did.

For that alone, I'd highly recommend it.

BRTC (Bio Remedies Therapeutic Cosmetic) is the #1 Korean skincare line. It's sold in over 10 countries and has been featured in numerous magazines such as Vogue, InStyle, Allure, CeCi, etc. Many celebrities swear by it and it has even been recommended by doctors. What makes their products so special, you may ask? Well they only use the finest botanical ingredients ranging from fruit, plant, and nut extracts. The brand specializes in acne, moisuturization, anti-aging, pore, and whitening products for all skin types as well as both men and women.

It is best to keep BRTC Blemish Recover Balm handy during moments where you feel a pimple is about to spring forth or if it already has, apply this balm on it to avoid the pimple from being an ugly scar.

"How BB Creams Work?Essentially the ultimate all-in-one product, BB Creams offer strong sun protection, prevent pimples, cover imperfections, and contain anti-aging, skin soothing properties.

Because BB Cream is very soft to the skin, it is suitable for all skin types, especially for sensitive skin and for those who are suffering from acne. It has the advantages of a foundation and a skin care product while it smoothes perfections and pigmentation spots.
