Willie Revillame will not change, ever. But we could.

What is Willie Revillame doing now that he hasn't done 5 years ago when his show Wowowee premiered in one of the largest TV networks in the Philippines?

How different is Willie Revillame now since the Ultra Stampede where - according to Marius Corpus, then Interior Undersecretary and lead investigator of the case - "thousands of people were made..restless by the Lopez-owned company because they were offered only a few raffle tickets..and..were exploited, manipulated, and treated like animals after camping outside the arena for days."

"Offering so few tickets to so many people can be likened to throwing a small slice of meat to a pack of hungry wolves. This triggered the stampede.."

Add to this the fact that - and I saw and heard this with my own ears and eyes - days before the Wowowee anniversary show in Ultra, Willie Revillame did entice, made an open invite and encouraged all willing and even unable people to flock to the Ultra grounds A-S-A-P because they will be giving out cash/money to the first few people lined up.

Whether or not I earned less than P100 a day or/and if I had the slight chance of winning or receiving P5,000 or more, I would have lined up too. How difficult would lining up for a whole day be?

The problem was, 30,000 other people thought the same thing. So off went & flocked 30,000 people to Ultra.

Approximately 30,000 people spent the day and night sleeping on the streets and 13,000 people naturally got rabid when they were told by Wowowee staff that the arena could only hold 17,000 of them.

"But we will raffle off P5,000 to 40 lucky persons to compensate for all your troubles." a Wowowee staff reportedly said.

According to Atty Ferdinand Lavin of the NBI, this move was already too late in quelling the people's rage of being made to hope and wait for nothing - which eventually happened anyway.

But this was merely icing on a doomed cake.

The GROSS and BLATANT error was Willie Revillame dangling on national TV the faint hope of an anthill turning into a mountain of money. He conveniently disregarded the fact that people will highly likely gather like moths to his flame. Or is that what he wanted?

Wasn't that the whole point of his shows - Willing Willie and Wowowee?

Why would Willie Revillame not want to see a ton of people going crazy over him, groveling over him, craving to catch a glimpse of him, sacrificing themselves for him?

He thrives in the glory of people's attention - bad and specially good.

Being a narcissist, he will always need someone or something to fill him.

This is the same reason why he encourages feelings of insecurity and lack within his staff because he feels the same way about himself. So why would he treat the audience any different?

He doesn't just want attention, he demands it. He would go to great lengths to milk enough of it or to control any situation just to get it.

He chooses anyone and everyone he finds bully-able: men, women, old people, the body of late Pres. Cory, children, his friends.

What is Willie Revillame saying, expressing, showing now that he hasn't said, expressed, showed before?

Why are we still watching him? Do we want to be included in his statistics?

‘Wowowee’ tragedy pulls up ratings of ABS-CBN shows

Grief and shock on the Ultra stampede earned ABS-CBN an upswing on the ratings race over the weekend.

Those who do watch him either feel lacking and insecure themselves so they are craving for him to fill their "emptiness" or are just as controlling and demanding as him - but will surely not admit to it.

See, Willie Revillame doesn't really care that you care or don't care on what he says or do. Either way, you're watching anyway. And that is all that should matter to him.

Boycotting his sponsors is an excellent move. But unless you do not want to let him go and if you still love to hate him, you are still paying him attention - literally.

So how do you stop the antics of a self-professed "savior of the masses," singer, millionaire, breasts-loving celebrity? How do you put a halt to the unbridled attention it un-rightfully deserves? Don't give yours.

Is the world ending?

Earth: No, I'm just starting.

2012 According to NASA:

Question (Q): Are there any threats to the Earth in 2012? Many Internet websites say the world will end in December 2012.

Answer (A): Nothing bad will happen to the Earth in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012.

Q: What is the origin of the prediction that the world will end in 2012?

A: The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth. This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012. Then these two fables were linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 -- hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.

Q: Does the Mayan calendar end in December 2012?

A: Just as the calendar you have on your kitchen wall does not cease to exist after December 31, the Mayan calendar does not cease to exist on December 21, 2012. This date is the end of the Mayan long-count period but then -- just as your calendar begins again on January 1 -- another long-count period begins for the Mayan calendar.

Q: Could a phenomena occur where planets align in a way that impacts Earth?

A: There are no planetary alignments in the next few decades, Earth will not cross the galactic plane in 2012, and even if these alignments were to occur, their effects on the Earth would be negligible. Each December the Earth and sun align with the approximate center of the Milky Way Galaxy but that is an annual event of no consequence.

Are Filipinos conquering the world one song at a time?

Actually they are just singing, but "conquering" is a more dramatic word.

And it's a fact that we are everywhere and anywhere there is a microphone. Plus, it is easier and more fun to sing than do domestic chores, caregive, nurse, construct or do engineering work.

Ask Conrado Yanez, an OFW in Poland who made today's headline by singing and sounding like Louis Armstrong:

Does anyone know Louis Armstrong hearts Filipinos so much that he actually worked with one? See Danny Barcelona play the drums in Louis Armstrong's All-Stars band.

Thia Megia is apparently a Michael-Jackson-sound-a-like and a gentler, less forceful but just as powerful a singer as Charice.

Maria Aragon sings her version of Lady Gaga's song which she gets to sing live along with Lady Gaga in front of a large Toronto crowd.

And - unless it gets posted on YouTube, noticed by Ellen, supported by Oprah or watched by Gaga - there may be many many more singing Filipinos all over the world we do not know of.
